Plastic pollution is everywhere, both where we can see it and where we can’t, and more is being manufactured and discarded each day. Moreover, as scientists learn more about its effects, they are finding plastic particles almost everywhere they look, including inside the human body. What are the impacts of these plastics, and what does their presence mean for our well-being? As the plastics crisis turns from a problem of litter to a problem of health, what can we do to stop it?
